Annual Summer Fair Report
On Friday 23 June we hosted our annual summer fair, which this year was raising money to help update and develop our outside learning and play areas.
It was fantastic to see so many families enjoying the stalls, games, entertainment and refreshments in the evening sunshine. For the first time we also hosted a talent show, which saw over 40 pupils taking to the stage to display their many, varied and wonderful talents.
Thanks to the huge generosity of parents, families, friends of Loxwood School, the local community and national organisations, we raised a fantastic £6,000. This will make a significant difference to the opportunities that we can offer the children at school when they spend time outside their classrooms.
Thank you to everyone involved in making our summer fair such a success, in particular:
- parents and carers for your marvellous contributions to the toy tombola, the wine tombola, lucky jars and so on!
- Class Reps for organising and manning your stalls
- all the volunteers who helped set up gazebos, made cakes and provided all sorts of support on the day
- local and other businesses who sponsored and supported our event by providing services, equipment, people or donating prizes to our raffle and tree of promises (click here to see what they were!). There are just too many to list them all, so we have listed some of our key contributors below.
