Admissions to Loxwood School

We currently have a few spaces in some of our classes.  Please do give us a call to find out more.

We are currently unable to offer tours of the school under West Sussex County Council guidance.

We realise that this isn't ideal and we would much prefer to meet prospective parents in person but we have to put the safety of our staff, pupils, (and visitors!) first. Please take a good look at our website, this will give you some insight into school life here at Loxwood.

The pupil admission number for Loxwood School is 30 per year group.  If your application would take the class size over 30, then we consider each application together with the Admissions Department at the Local Authority.  Ideally, the school governors and Headteacher would like local children and siblings to be able to attend Loxwood School as we are a village school with a strong family ethos and we are very proud of this.

If Loxwood School is over subscribed, the Local Authority will hold a waiting list and offer places when they become available.  If your application is declined due to the class being over subscribed, you are entitled to appeal against the decision.  The Local Authority will supply you details of the process within your application letter.

During the Autumn Term, we usually hold 'New Parent' sessions, but these have been suspended due to current pandemic restrictions.  They were aimed at parents of children who will be joining the Reception Class in the next academic year.  So that parents do not miss out,  we are producing a video tour of the school and our headteacher, Miss Dowley will introduce life at Loxwood and how we nurture and care for our children.  This will be uploaded shortly.
