Loxwood School Vision and Values

Our Vision

Loxwood School is a collaborative community that believes that every child should be inspired to discover their own talents and believe in their very own, unique potential.

We encourage our children to be curious and to love lifelong learning, ensuring that they are prepared and resilient for the world beyond Loxwood.

We ensure that every child that is part of our school feels safe and happy and understands the importance of kindness in all that they do. Inclusivity is a key part of all of our learning and development at Loxwood.

We pride ourselves in our fantastic outdoor learning space, our ability to offer access to sport for all children, our creativity within the curriculum and our focus on pastoral care and wellness for every child.

Our Values

At Loxwood, we encourage our children, staff and governing body to believe in a ‘growth mindset’ approach. We believe that everyone should continue learning, trying new things and making mistakes, because that is how we learn.

We encourage our children to be creative and curious learners, to find out what they enjoy doing and we ensure that this is part of our curriculum intent at every stage of their school journey.

We have created a ‘growth mindset’ with five core values which are at the heart of everything that we do at Loxwood and in keeping with our woodland setting and love of outdoor learning we have named them Collaborative Bees, Resilient Hedgehog, Kindness Badger, Curious Owl and Creative Spider.

Growth Mindset at Loxwood School

Our Values explored

We believe that our curriculum should be exciting, purposeful and fun and we have spent time as a teaching community, creating a teaching and learning provision that enables every child to thrive.  All of our children embrace the ‘Loxwood Learners Code’ which brings together all of our core values and enables them to become independent learners.
