Hello, my name is Mrs Rolland and I am very excited to be the teacher for Willow Class! Thank you for dropping in to our Class Page to see what we are getting up to in Year 2!
Summer Term 2026
This Summer Term change is in the air as we begin our topic ‘All Change!’. Throughout the term, we will be investigating how things change over time: plants, us, animals, the weather, even places! Our studies will include how plants grow and develop from seeds and bulbs into mature plants and how humans and animals change as they grow, looking closely at lifecycles. Alongside looking closely at weather and climate, our mini geographers and historians will also be discovering how London changed following the Great Fire, and a little closer to home, how our local sea-sides have changed over time too!
As part of our learning, the children will also be observing changes in our own Year 2 garden and may even be getting up close and personal with some very changeable (and rather wriggly) new mini members of the class too! Keep scrolling for curriculum information, resources and learning games.

Please wear a long sleeve top, long trousers (joggers or leggings are best) and ensure that your child has wellies in school. If the weather is hot, please remember to bring trousers or leggings to change into. Your child will need shoes for wearing inside school too. They will also require a warm and waterproof coat.
*Football kits, crop tops and shorts are not suitable.
