Rowan Class - Year 3

In Rowan Class Miss Wright is the Class Teacher.
Please spend some time looking at our class photo album at the bottom of the page which will show you lots the the exciting learning that the children have been doing. Including: Forest School, Science and English!
 Hi, we are so happy to have the children back after the school holidays, we hope you all had a lovely time. This term we will be Creating and our topic will be the Queens Jubilee and plants. As Historians we will be finding out about the reigning monarchs before Queen Elizabeth II. In Science our new topic is plants, we will be going outside and finding living plants and flowers and we will also be finding out about what a makes something living.  
In English we are writing about the Queen, we will spending time researching and exploring her life before creating our own biographies. In Math the children will be learning about fractions, time and shape. 
I have attached our topic web (below) so you can look more at what we will be learning about in each subject.
 

PE days are Wednesday and Thursday.

As you know your children complete a reading assessment each half term. Below I have attached some guidance on what you and your child can be doing at home and how you can monitor your child's progress.
