KS2 Autumn House Matches 2025

Despite the particularly cold conditions, the weather held well enough for us to finally go ahead with the rescheduled Autumn House Matches. These games were postponed earlier in the term after an unexpected flurry of snow, so it was a pleasure to see them take place at last. We are especially grateful to the parents who came along. Thank you for your continued support.

All Key Stage 2 pupils represented their houses in either hockey or football, putting into practice the skills they have been developing in their PE lessons with Mr Green. A special mention goes to our Year 3 pupils, who took part in their first-ever House Matches; although the experience can feel a little daunting, they approached it with wonderful enthusiasm.

The afternoon also provided our newly appointed Year 6 House Captains and Sports Leaders with their first proper opportunity to step into their roles. The House Captains led their teams thoughtfully, helping to keep play fair and balanced, while the Sports Leaders took on duties such as timekeeping, scoring, and refereeing (responsibilities in which staff noticed they grew more confident as the matches progressed).
