Loxwood School Vision and Values
Our Vision
At Loxwood, we want every child to be curious, confident and excited to learn. We nurture a love of learning and encourage our children to develop the knowledge, skills and resilience they need to thrive in the world beyond Loxwood.
We are committed to creating a safe, happy and inclusive school community, where every child feels valued, respected and supported. We believe that kindness matters, and we encourage our children to show care, compassion and respect in all that they do.
Inclusion and equity are at the heart of our approach. We celebrate individuality, embrace difference and ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.
We want our children to flourish in every way. We promote positive physical and emotional health, helping children to understand themselves, build healthy relationships and develop the confidence and wellbeing to lead happy, fulfilling lives.
Our Values
At Loxwood, we believe that every child can learn, grow and achieve. We encourage our children, staff and governors to embrace a growth mindset, understanding that learning is a journey and that mistakes are an important part of becoming a better learner.
“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried something new.”
— Albert Einstein
We encourage our children to be creative, curious and confident learners, giving them opportunities to explore their interests, discover their passions and develop a genuine love of learning.
We believe that learning should be exciting, purposeful and fun. As a teaching community, we have worked together to create a rich and engaging curriculum that inspires children, celebrates their individuality and provides every child with the opportunity to thrive.
Our Core Values
Our five core values underpin everything we do at Loxwood:
- Kindness – We care for ourselves, others and our community.
- Respect – We value ourselves, others and the world around us.
- Independence – We take responsibility for our learning, choices and actions.
- Resilience – We persevere, learn from challenges and keep trying.
- Curiosity – We ask questions, explore ideas and develop a lifelong love of learning.
We celebrate these values throughout the year, recognising children who demonstrate them in their learning, relationships and everyday actions. Each Friday, our Celebration Assembly provides an opportunity for our whole school community to come together and celebrate the wonderful achievements and successes of our children.
